Plenty of online resources to keep the kids occupied.

I do hope you are all keeping as occupied as possible during this strange time.
If want to use our ebooks and audio books but have forgotten your login details please contact me here and I will provide that information for you.

Keep in touch - I'd really like to know what you are all reading.

I've just finished this book which I really enjoyed having never read Mark Twain before.  Although it was first published 146 years ago and the language is very different to what is acceptable today I found it was funny  - a real boy's adventure story.

Amber's books

Girl Missing series
Amber brown
Girl Missing is a three book series written by the amazing Author Sophie McKenzie. The first one is called Girl Missing, then it is Sister Missing, then Missing Me.

The first book is about a girl called Lauren who was adopted. She is eager to find out more about her past. She finds out she may have been snatched from her real family.

Sister Missing is, two years after the events of Girl Missing and life is not any easier for sixteen-year-old Lauren, with exam pressure and a recent family tragedy. Lauren's birth mother takes Lauren and her two sisters on holiday in the hope that some time together will help, but a few days into the holiday one of the sisters disappears,  very similar to those in which Lauren was taken years before.

Charlotte's Book Display

I have chosen to write about these Wildboy books because they were very inspirational stories about a boy named Brando Yelavich, whose life was going down the wrong path. Brando wanted to turn his life around so he walked the coastline of New Zealand from Cape Reinga to Bluff and all the way back up again to raise money for charity.
I have now finished all my student librarian awards and earned my gold.

National Simultaneous Storytime 2018

This event was held in libraries across New Zealand and Australia on Wednesday 23 May.
Throughout the afternoon senior students - Maddy, Aleigha, Neve, Anya, Christine, Charlie and Brooke visited the Team Explorer classes and read the book 'Hickory, Dickory Dash' aloud to the children.  Based on the well-known nursery rhyme this book has lots of  onomatopaeia so required plenty of practise first to get it right.  They did a great job and the audiences seemed to enjoy the story and the way it was read to them.  Good work everyone.
